Michael S. Champney M.D. F.A.C.S
Dr. Champney received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University, and earned his medical degree at
Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed his surgical residency at the
Vanderbilt University Medical Center serving as chief resident in 2002-2003.
He is board certified in general surgery and is a
Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.).
Dr. Champney has a special interest in advanced laparoscopic surgery and
laparoscopic colon surgery. He is a member of the DeKalb Medical
Society, Southeastern Surgical Society, and Medical Association of Georgia,
and is on staff at
DeKalb Medical Center, both central campus and Hillandale.
